What is account aggregation?

Account aggregation is an online banking service. It lets you see your account balances and transactions all on the same screen. The bank accounts displayed may be from different banks. Also called an account aggregator, this service provides you with a global overview of your finances.

The BGL BNP Paribas account aggregator is:

  • a free service;
  • quick and easy to set up;
  • a 360° overview of all of your bank accounts in Luxembourg;
  • customisable: you select the bank accounts you wish to add;
  • a secure connection to all of your accounts via your BGL BNP Paribas Web Banking app.

A European objective

The Payment Services Directive (PSD 2) is a new piece of European legislation. It promotes the exchange of bank details and enables banks and registered non-banking institutions to:

  • offer you more efficient payment solutions;
  • offer you new services that meet your needs.

You can now import your bank information from other banks into your Web Banking app!This operation is 100% secure – everything happens within your BGL BNP Paribas Web Banking app.

Luxembourg residents and professionals tend to juggle bank accounts at multiple banks. By adding all your bank accounts to the BGL BNP Paribas app, you can consult all of them in the same place:

  • you can view the balance of each account all in one place;
  • you can access the transaction history for each account.

Create your personalised overview of all your bank accounts

To create your consolidated view:

  • log in to your BGL BNP Paribas Web Banking app;
  • read and agree to the Conditions of Use;
  • click “Add a bank”;
  • follow the steps in the form. To add a bank, you’ll need your login details and passwords. These are the ones you use to log in to the client area at the relevant bank.

This service is entirely secure. External accounts will only be displayed in your Web Banking app at your request.

    Who can use the bank account aggregation service?

    To use the account aggregation service, you must:

    • Be an individual or professional (natural person),
    • Only add accounts that you personally hold,
    • Own an Apple or Android device,
    • Have the latest version of the Web Banking app.

    Our account aggregation service is completely secure:

    • Integrated within your BGL BNP Paribas Web Banking app, it is protected by all of the app’s security measures.
    • Data and data flows are protected by end-to-end encryption. Your data is processed automatically.

    What do you do with my data?

    BGL BNP Paribas uses your balance and transaction data to create the account aggregation available in your app.  Take a look at our personal data protection policy.

    How do I activate the account aggregation service?

    Log in to your Web Banking app.

    Once connected, a window presenting the service will appear. Follow the instructions and let us guide you through how to set up the service.

    If the window doesn’t appear (perhaps you closed it the last time you logged in), head to “Aggregation” in the menu and follow the steps. You can also replay the presentation of the service.

    To add a bank, you’ll need your login details and passwords. To sign up to this free service, you’ll need to agree to the Conditions of Use. These conditions can be consulted any time under “Aggregation” in your Web Banking app.

    Which banks are available?

    The account aggregation service currently gives you access to Luxembourg banks and some European banks. This list is constantly being updated.

    The list of banks on offer can be accessed in your Web Banking app. You’ll be able to view this list when you subscribe.

    Do I have to add all of my bank accounts when I add a new bank?

    No. Our aggregator is fully customisable. You manually select the accounts you want to add to your aggregated overview.

    How do I deactivate the account aggregation service?

    To deactivate the account aggregation service at any time, without needing to provide a reason:

    • Head to the Aggregation menu in your Web Banking app,
    • Uncheck the Account Aggregation service.

    When you deactivate the aggregation service:

    • Data is no longer imported,
    • All data is deleted,
    • The aggregated overview is no longer available.
