Shareholders in the Fortis Group from 2007 to 2008

Ageas (previously known as Fortis S.A.) has reached a settlement agreement concerning the legacy of Fortis with the main claimant organisations. On 13 July 2018, the Amsterdam court made this settlement agreement binding for all shareholders. The settlement agreement applies to all civil actions concerning the Fortis legacy.

In this regard, please note that all Fortis shareholders between 28 February 2007 and 14 October 2008 are entitled to compensation.

BGL BNP Paribas would like to help you exercise your rights.

How do I claim compensation?

  • You are the holder or joint holder of a securities account at BGL BNP Paribas which contained Fortis shares in 2007–2008

In this case, you received a letter from BGL BNP Paribas either by mail or on your Web Banking, containing a certificate and everything you will need to settle this matter.

If you have not received anything from us, please contact your branch or call Client Services on (+352) 42 42 - 2000, Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00.

  • You are no longer the holder or joint holder of a securities account at BGL BNP Paribas which contained Fortis shares in 2007–2008

You can call your (former) BGL BNP Paribas branch or Client Services on (+352) 42 42 – 2000 to obtain all the documents and certificates required to settle this matter, at no cost.
