Frequently asked questions

    What is a social agency?

Social agencies are granted “public interest” status either by the Luxembourg Ministry of Justice, or by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE), or recognised as such by a specific law. They are often non-profit organisations, foundations or non-governmental development organisations (NGDO) working to promote one or more social initiatives.

Gifts and donations made to these organisations are tax-deductible as “special expenses” for donors.
