Yves Nosbusch is the Chief Economist of BGL BNP Paribas. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics.

 

Before joining BGL BNP Paribas in 2012, he was on the full-time faculty of the Finance Department at the London School of Economics. He continues to teach a course on financial risk analysis to M.Sc. students at the LSE. His academic research, published in leading journals such as the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Monetary Economics, has concentrated on public debt (sovereign risk, optimal maturity structure) and pension systems.

 

He was a member of the Council of the Central Bank of Luxembourg from 2010 to 2012 and is currently a member of the Luxembourg National Fiscal Council. He is also on the board of the Cancer Foundation. After graduating from the LSE, he worked as an interest rate derivatives trader for J.P. Morgan in London.
