Does an international bank transfer from a Luxembourg account to an account in France/Belgium/Germany cost more than a national bank transfer?
The European SEPA directive relative to payment instruments (bank card, transfer, etc.) imposes the harmonisation of the fees invoiced for payment services in EUR, both at the national level and in the SEPA* zone.
A transfer in EUR from an account domiciled in Luxembourg to an account domiciled in another country in the SEPA zone is subject to the same prices and execution conditions as a national transfer.
*SEPA zone: 27 countries of the EU + Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Monaco
